AI Software Engineer (Generative AI) – Remote

About the role

Azumo is looking for a motivated AI Software Engineer to design and deliver generative AI solutions for global clients. The position is fully remote and focused on the full lifecycle of AI applications, from research and prototyping to production deployment and scaling.

Key responsibilities

• Research, design and implement production‑grade generative AI and intelligent automation solutions using large language models, retrieval‑augmented generation pipelines and vector databases.
• Lead end‑to‑end development including data preparation, model fine‑tuning, evaluation, optimization, containerization and secure cloud deployment on Azure or AWS.
• Build and maintain MLOps/LLMOps pipelines for automated testing, monitoring, and rollback.
• Apply responsible AI practices and compliance frameworks such as NIST RMF and FedRAMP throughout delivery.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs, prototype quickly, and iterate with stakeholders.
• Contribute to Azumo’s innovation roadmap by identifying research topics, publishing insights and expanding the service portfolio.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science or a related field (Master’s a plus).
• Minimum 3 years of experience developing and deploying ML, NLP or generative AI systems.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and ability to work in collaborative, fast‑paced teams.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• Deep‑learning frameworks: PyTorch, TensorFlow.
• Prompt engineering and LLM tooling such as LangChain.
• Cloud platforms: Azure, AWS.
• Containerization and CI/CD tools (Docker, Git).
• Vector databases and RAG pipeline implementation.
• MLOps/LLMOps pipeline development.
