Aero TFA Mechanic – Field Services

About the role

The Aero TFA Mechanic supports GE Vernova’s Gas Power Field Services by managing site activities at customer power‑generating facilities. The role requires Level II competency and involves planning, organizing, and monitoring resources to deliver installations, maintenance and emergency repairs.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate on‑site activities, including labor, tools and technical assistants.
• Perform installation, preventive maintenance, repair and calibration of power‑generation equipment.
• Respond to emergency repair requests and provide technical instruction to customer representatives.
• Prepare and submit technical reports, job status updates, material orders, quotations, timesheets and expense sheets.
• Sign off on all changes, ensure compliance with GE safety standards and drive customer satisfaction.
• Coach, mentor and train team members on field engineering and product knowledge.
• Ensure required parts are shipped and available for each job.

Required profile

• Completed Level II competency for field service roles.
• Strong safety mindset and ability to work within GE safety standards.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills for complex equipment issues.
• Ability to communicate technical information to customers and team members.
• Experience in coaching or mentoring junior staff.
