Accounts Receivable & Collections Analyst

About the role

AppDirect is seeking a proactive, detail‑oriented Accounts Receivable & Collections Analyst to join its Finance team. The role focuses on managing collection activities, tracking outstanding receivables, and supporting cash‑flow objectives through effective communication with customers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end collection activities for assigned customer accounts.
• Review aging reports, identify overdue invoices and initiate follow‑up.
• Contact customers via calls, emails and other channels to secure payment commitments.
• Investigate payment delays, short payments and disputed invoices in coordination with Finance, Billing, Sales and Customer Success teams.
• Maintain accurate records of collection efforts, communications and payment commitments.
• Perform account reconciliations and ensure proper allocation of incoming payments.
• Monitor unapplied cash, overdue balances and collection trends; prepare periodic MIS reports.
• Support month‑end closing activities related to receivables and collections.
• Escalate high‑risk or severely overdue accounts according to company policy.
• Identify opportunities to improve collection efficiency and reduce outstanding debt.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, credit control or Order‑to‑Cash processes.
• Proven ability to conduct customer payment follow‑ups and manage overdue accounts.
• Strong analytical skills and confidence in communicating with customers to resolve payment issues.

Required skills

• Proficiency with NetSuite or a comparable ERP/accounting system.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, filters, sorting and basic formulas.
• Competence in Google Sheets for data tracking and reporting.
