Accounting Training Manager

About the role

UpCounting is seeking an autonomous, self‑starting Accounting Training Manager to raise the quality of its accounting output. You will work fully remotely, aligning with EST business hours, and help the team deliver reliable financial data that drives strategic decisions for eCommerce clients.

Key responsibilities

• Review accounting work across all client files for accuracy and quality.
• Track error trends, maintain scorecards, and translate findings into actionable improvement plans.
• Identify skill gaps and develop training programs to close them.
• Coach accountants and managers, supporting their technical growth over time.
• Create and maintain SOPs and training materials to ensure consistent standards.
• Partner with the People team to surface performance trends and opportunities.
• Help raise the overall technical bar as the firm scales to larger, more complex eCommerce clients.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in accounting with strong technical depth (audit, controllership, or review).
• Exceptional eye for detail and ability to spot errors that others miss.
• Coaching mindset – able to train and develop people rather than merely flag issues.
• Clear communicator who can give constructive feedback to accountants, managers, and leadership.
• Self‑starter who proactively raises standards.
