Accounting Specialist

About the role

EBANX is looking for a Senior Accounting Specialist to join its global Accounting team. In this high‑impact position you will ensure the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of financial information that supports strategic decision‑making across multiple regions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex accounting activities, including critical reconciliations, estimates, and technical analyses.
• Own month‑end and year‑end closing processes, guaranteeing quality and timeliness.
• Review and validate work performed by other team members when applicable.
• Act as the primary point of contact for accounting topics across regions and entities.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements with a focus on accuracy and insights.
• Support and lead audit processes, interacting directly with auditors.
• Identify risks, inconsistencies, and improvement opportunities.
• Drive automation, efficiency, and standardisation initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and local regulations.
• Partner with Tax, FP&A, Treasury, and Operations teams to strengthen internal controls and accounting policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5–8+ years of experience in accounting roles, preferably in multinational environments.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, with IFRS expertise.
• Solid audit exposure and experience handling complex topics.
• High level of ownership, accountability, and ability to work independently.
