Accounting Quality Manager

About the role

UpCounting is seeking an autonomous, self‑starting Accounting Quality Manager to elevate the accuracy and reliability of its accounting output. You will work fully remote, aligning with EST business hours, and partner with a globally distributed finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Review all accounting files for accuracy, quality, and compliance.
• Track error trends, maintain scorecards, and translate findings into actionable improvement plans.
• Identify skill gaps, design and deliver training programs, and coach accountants and managers.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and training materials to ensure consistent standards.
• Collaborate with the People team to surface performance trends and opportunities.
• Help raise the technical bar as the firm scales to larger, more complex eCommerce clients.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in accounting, audit, controllership, or review roles.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to spot hidden errors.
• Strong coaching mindset – you prefer teaching over merely flagging issues.
• Clear communicator who can give constructive feedback to all levels.
• Self‑starter who proactively raises standards.
