Accountant – Finance & Treasury (Buenos Aires)

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to join Gensler’s Buenos Aires office. The role supports daily cash management, accounting, and tax compliance while collaborating with regional and global finance teams to ensure strong financial stewardship.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily cash position analysis, monitor bank balances and manage liquidity across accounts.
• Execute intercompany transfers, local disbursements and support cash forecasting, funding and FX risk mitigation.
• Maintain accurate accounting records in accordance with Argentine GAAP and company policies.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual close activities, including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Prepare and coordinate local tax filings (IVA, Ganancias, Ingresos Brutos) and manage withholding, payroll‑related filings and AFIP submissions.
• Support statutory financial reporting, audits and tax audits.
• Serve as the local point of contact for accounting and tax matters and contribute to process improvements and internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a multinational or professional services environment.
• Strong knowledge of Argentine accounting and tax frameworks (AFIP, IVA, Ganancias, Ingresos Brutos).
• Experience with cash management, banking operations and intercompany transactions.
• Working towards or holding a professional accounting certification (CPA, CA or local equivalent).
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with a large multinational ERP system.
