Accountant – Accounts Payable

About the role

EPAM is looking for an Accountant to join its global shared‑service Accounts Payable team in Argentina. You will be a key contributor, ensuring accurate processing of payments and supporting the finance function across multiple entities.

Key responsibilities

• Review expenditure support documents to verify accounting details.
• Initiate and manage local and international bank payments, both batch and single transactions.
• Maintain US GAAP expense records and document related accounts payable and banking transactions.
• Perform monthly closing activities for assigned accounts in SAP.
• Liaise with local statutory accountants to resolve bookkeeping questions.
• Provide explanations and backup documentation to senior or lead accountants when requested.
• Respond to internal and external inquiries, attend meetings, and supply audit support documentation.
• Participate in process‑improvement initiatives with the IT team, evaluate enhancements, and test new solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting roles.
• Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel for analysis and reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to compliance standards.
• Demonstrated accountability, ownership, and ability to work within established policies.
• Eagerness for continuous learning and professional growth.
• Effective team player with experience in multicultural environments.
• English proficiency at B2+ level (written and verbal).
