Tax Specialist

About the role

The Tax Specialist will manage corporate tax matters for BYD's vehicle business in Argentina, ensuring accurate, complete, and efficient tax operations. The role involves handling all Argentine tax obligations, identifying risks, liaising with tax authorities, and optimizing cash flow through rebates and tax savings.

Key responsibilities

• Perform timely VAT liquidation.
• Prepare and file Gross Income Tax declarations (CM01, CM05) and manage onboarding across Argentine tax jurisdictions.
• Execute Corporate Income Tax liquidation, including hyperinflation adjustments and applicable deductions.
• Submit all tax filings through ARCA and Conaweb within deadlines.
• Handle SICORE (withholding) tax liquidation.
• Calculate deferred tax assets and liabilities.
• Conduct fiscal planning for income tax payments.
• Apply transfer pricing principles and identify tax‑saving opportunities.
• Negotiate with ARCA for new business or tax matters.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in Argentine tax policy, preferably within the automotive or manufacturing sector.
• Public Accountant degree (or equivalent) and graduation confirmed.
• Demonstrated expertise in tax optimization, fiscal planning, and cash‑flow improvement.
• Native Spanish speaker with fluent oral and written English.
• Ability to work under pressure, learn quickly, and adapt to new business challenges.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong knowledge of SAP (including F6401 transaction).
• Understanding of IFRS standards.
