Staff Accountant – Crypto & Digital Asset Focus

About the role

Veta Virtual is seeking a Staff Accountant to join a high‑growth fintech and cryptocurrency client. The role is fully remote and focuses on digital‑asset accounting, supporting month‑end close for a large global crypto kiosk network.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly roll‑forwards for BTC, ETH, LTC and other digital assets, reconciling wallet balances with blockchain data.
• Perform fair‑market‑value calculations, remeasurements, position checks and proof‑of‑reserves reconciliations.
• Process crypto donations, rewards, incentives and hardware‑wallet activity, including Trezor and cold‑storage transactions.
• Post journal entries, conduct balance‑sheet reconciliations and flux analysis for month‑end close.
• Maintain fixed‑asset registers, depreciation schedules and support audit packages.
• Analyze accounting policies, develop SOPs and collaborate on cross‑functional process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of hands‑on accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of cryptocurrency and blockchain fundamentals.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and general financial accounting principles.
• Detail‑oriented with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
