Software Development Engineer

About the role

AppDirect is looking for a Software Development Engineer to join its Buenos Aires team. You will help build and scale a subscription commerce platform used by millions worldwide, working in a distributed, values‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high‑throughput services and APIs that process large volumes of transactions.
• Build fault‑tolerant, scalable systems and contribute to the migration toward a micro‑service architecture.
• Collaborate with product, design and sales teams to deliver end‑to‑end solutions.
• Write well‑tested, production‑grade code and support it after release.
• Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with front‑end frameworks such as React or Angular and back‑end development in Java using Spring and Hibernate.
• Proven ability to deliver complete solutions and maintain them in production.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and willingness to refactor and explore new technologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
