Software Developer Engineer in Test

About the role

Marvell is seeking a Software Developer Engineer in Test to join its Connectivity group, responsible for functional verification of firmware for high‑speed networking PHYs and optical modules.

Key responsibilities

• Gain expertise in the functional operations of high‑speed (≥1.6 Tb/s) networking PHYs, optical modules, and other connectivity devices.
• Collaborate with global engineering teams to design comprehensive test plans based on product requirements.
• Develop, implement, and optimize automated test scripts using Python.
• Collect, maintain, visualize, and interpret test data to continuously improve testing procedures and product quality.
• Generate detailed bug tickets and regression reports for timely issue resolution.
• Work closely with hardware and software teams to diagnose and resolve firmware and test issues.
• Build and maintain software infrastructure and automation environments to support scalable testing.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of Object‑Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
• Proficiency in Python programming for automated testing solutions.
• Familiarity with embedded systems and basic knowledge of C and C++.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git or SVN.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
• Collaborative mindset for working with cross‑functional teams.
