SEO Planner

About the role

Syneos Health is looking for an SEO Planner to join its performance media team. The role focuses on improving organic visibility for client websites and ensuring they are optimised for media amplification. The ideal candidate is data‑driven, proactive, and passionate about delivering measurable performance.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and recommend improvements for title tags, meta descriptions, and alt text.
• Conduct competitive website insights, backlink audits, URL‑redirect matrices and overall health checks.
• Review XML sitemaps, create robots.txt files and implement schema markup.
• Report deliverables and performance to the Search Supervisor and suggest strategic adjustments.
• Collaborate with media planning, buying and analytics teams to develop research‑based SEO strategies.
• Use data‑driven analysis to derive insights, improve KPIs and drive client business impact.
• Stay informed on healthcare industry discussions and regulatory considerations.
• Maintain relationships with platform representatives to stay current on pharmaceutical and healthcare content regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Data Science or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in core SEO functions supporting client goals.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects with quick turnaround times.
• Strong time‑management skills and ability to work independently while collaborating with teams.
• Experience in pharma or healthcare is preferred but not mandatory.
