Senior Transmission Implementation Engineer

About the role

Trinetix is seeking a Senior Transmission Implementation Engineer to lead the build, expansion, and optimisation of Arelion's optical transport network. You will be responsible for delivering network capacity on time, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors, and maintaining high‑quality documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead implementation of the Arelion Optical Transport Network, meeting agreed lead times.
• Oversee installation, commissioning, testing and service turn‑up of optical transmission equipment.
• Perform DWDM link migrations and end‑of‑life platform migrations, including out‑of‑hours work when required.
• Collaborate with internal teams on network expansion, optimisation and legacy equipment decommissioning.
• Coordinate logistics for equipment shipments and manage vendor relationships.
• Ensure accurate documentation across all network inventory systems.
• Participate in regular deployment and progress meetings with stakeholders.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in a telecommunications environment covering planning, build and operate functions.
• Proven DWDM expertise with hands‑on configuration and troubleshooting.
• Strong ability to support remote installations and guide onsite technicians.
• Good understanding of fibre infrastructure and data‑centre ODF connectivity.
