Senior System Engineer – IT Operations Lead

About the role

We are looking for a Senior System Engineer to lead the operational excellence of a portfolio of critical IT systems. The role combines technical expertise with process ownership to ensure compliance, reliability, and continuous improvement across hardware, software, networking, and database environments.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain compliance documentation and coordinate backup/recovery activities.
• Plan and execute disaster recovery testing and SLA monitoring.
• Oversee access and identity monitoring, audit‑trail checks, and small software enhancements.
• Coordinate server and database patching, software management, and system archiving.
• Collect and process business demands, manage incidents, problems, and changes.
• Collaborate with IT infrastructure to remediate, replace, migrate, or decommission legacy components.
• Interface with multiple business and IT functional areas to ensure seamless service delivery.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience as a System Lead or in a comparable role.
• Strong understanding of hardware, software, networking, and database environments.
• Proven technical support background in multicultural and, preferably, regulated settings.
• Customer‑oriented, well‑organized, with excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Ability to present information clearly and work effectively within a team.
• Knowledge of Operational Excellence frameworks, preferably ITIL v3.0 or higher.
