Senior SOX Auditor – Global Risk & Audit Role

About the role

ExxonMobil is seeking a Senior SOX Auditor to join its global risk and audit team. The role provides hands‑on exposure to end‑to‑end business processes across our worldwide operations and supports strategic risk‑based decision making.

Key responsibilities

• Execute SOX control testing and perform risk assessments across multiple business cycles (R2R, P2P, O2C, etc.).
• Collaborate with global stakeholders from finance, operations and IT to gather evidence and evaluate controls.
• Identify improvement opportunities, generate insights and contribute to the design of more efficient processes.
• Develop a deep understanding of business risks and operational flows to inform audit planning.
• Document findings and communicate results to senior management.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in SOX, internal audit or external audit (Big 4 experience is a plus).
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Advanced English proficiency for daily interaction with international teams.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Proactive, independent and comfortable challenging the status‑quo in a fast‑paced environment.
