Senior Site Reliability Engineer, Node Platform

About the role

Chainlink is looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to help build the Kubernetes‑based control plane that powers its Decentralized Oracle Networks. You will work on core infrastructure primitives that enable deterministic horizontal scaling, safe infrastructure expansion and improved operational efficiency for the Chainlink Runtime Environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement infrastructure primitives that define how Decentralized Oracle Networks scale across internal and external systems.
• Develop and maintain the Kubernetes‑based control plane (CRE) to provide deterministic horizontal scaling and repeatable infrastructure expansion.
• Build reusable Kubernetes Operators and automation for scaling, ensuring reliability and security at scale.
• Collaborate with product teams to integrate core components and eventually expose them to external node operators.
• Continuously improve operational efficiency, predictability and safety of large‑scale deployments.

Required profile

• 6–9+ years of experience in Site Reliability, Platform or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Proven track record scaling Kubernetes in high‑throughput production environments.
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes scheduler behavior, StatefulSets, persistent workloads and autoscaling mechanisms.
• Experience with custom scaling solutions and a strong focus on reliability and security.
