Senior React Native Engineer (Offline‑First Sync)

About the role

AgileEngine is seeking a Senior React Native Engineer to lead the design and implementation of offline‑first data synchronization for a global quick‑service restaurant (QSR) POS platform. You will work across device, edge, and cloud layers, ensuring reliable, conflict‑free data flow in high‑volume transactional environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design multi‑tier synchronization across local device storage, restaurant edge, and cloud backend with offline‑first guarantees.
• Implement conflict‑resolution strategies using CRDT frameworks such as Automerge or Ditto, including vector clocks, last‑write‑wins, and merge policies.
• Apply event sourcing, CQRS, and saga patterns to order, kitchen, payment, and receipt workflows.
• Utilize real‑time pub/sub or WebSockets to keep state consistent across devices.
• Model the cloud data layer with PostgreSQL and define reconciliation strategies between local, edge, and cloud stores.

Required profile

• 4+ years of software engineering experience with production distributed‑data or synchronization systems.
• Strong expertise in React Native, TypeScript, and Node.js.
• Hands‑on experience with offline‑first architectures and CRDT‑based sync frameworks (Automerge, Ditto, or equivalents).
• Solid understanding of distributed‑systems fundamentals, including conflict resolution, eventual consistency, idempotency, and ordering.
• Experience with event‑driven architectures, asynchronous messaging, and PostgreSQL relational modeling.
• Proficiency with AI‑assisted development tools such as Claude or GitHub Copilot.
• Upper‑intermediate English communication skills.
