Senior Principal Reservoir Engineer

About the role

Join Baker Hughes as a Senior Principal Reservoir Engineer, leading multidisciplinary projects and providing expert consulting across Argentina, Brazil or Mexico. You will act as the technical authority for reservoir engineering studies, coordinate with clients and the GaffneyCline Latin America team, and support business development.

Key responsibilities

• Provide reservoir engineering input for field development, performance analysis, and reserves estimation.
• Conduct studies using simulation, material balance, decline curve, well test, and PVT/SCAL analysis.
• Advise clients on engineering matters, manage projects, perform peer reviews, and serve as primary client contact.
• Lead technical contributions for proposals and act as regional focal point for deliverables and processes.
• Represent the team externally through publications and industry participation.

Required profile

• Petroleum Engineering degree with at least 15 years of experience, including 7 years with an operator.
• Full professional proficiency in Spanish and English.
• Strong knowledge of reservoir engineering topics and experience across multiple basins.
• Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and project management abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with PETREL, ECLIPSE, T Navigator, CMG; JewelSuite a plus.
• Experience in reservoir simulation, material balance, decline curve analysis, well test analysis, and PVT/SCAL data analysis.
