Senior Platform Engineer – Databricks & Azure

About the role

Acsys is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design, build and operate the core platform that powers data solutions for a global multinational client. The role focuses on Databricks and Azure, automation, and self‑service tooling rather than traditional data engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Design, provision and maintain Databricks workspaces, clusters, jobs, Unity Catalog and security settings.
• Implement Azure infrastructure (networking, identity, storage, monitoring, governance) using IaC tools.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and enforce branching and PR workflows.
• Build platform services and automation frameworks in Python, Java, C# or TypeScript.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across Databricks, Azure and GitHub in a Kanban‑style pod.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with Databricks in enterprise environments.
• Solid background designing and operating solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Proficiency with Terraform or similar IaC tools.
• Experience with GitHub Actions, branching strategies and automated deployments.
• Software development skills in Python, Java, C# or TypeScript.
