Senior PHP Backend Engineer

About the role

Fever is looking for a Senior PHP Backend Engineer to design, build and maintain high‑performance services that power large‑scale live‑entertainment experiences for millions of users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement end‑to‑end backend solutions, from architecture to production‑ready code.
• Develop and maintain high‑performance PHP 8 microservices and APIs following OpenAPI/Swagger contracts.
• Own monitoring, performance, reliability and observability (logs, metrics, tracing) of assigned modules.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, product, frontend and other backend teams in a fast‑paced environment.
• Lead the creation of new microservices, drive scalability and resiliency improvements, and mentor teammates through code reviews and pair programming.

Required profile

• Proven experience solving complex problems and building resilient systems at scale.
• Comfortable working in distributed, event‑driven architectures.
• Strong focus on code quality and best engineering practices.
