Senior Pharmacovigilance Associate

About the role

As a Senior Pharmacovigilance Associate at ICON, you will lead the safety monitoring of pharmaceutical products, ensuring compliance with global regulatory requirements while supporting clinical development teams. This fully remote position is based in Buenos Aires and offers the opportunity to influence drug safety strategies across multiple therapeutic areas.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the collection, evaluation and processing of adverse event reports, guaranteeing timely and accurate regulatory submissions.
• Analyse safety data to identify trends, signals and potential risks, and recommend appropriate follow‑up actions.
• Prepare and submit periodic safety update reports (PSURs) and other regulatory documents in line with international guidelines.
• Collaborate with medical, clinical and regulatory teams to assess clinical relevance of safety findings and contribute to risk‑management plans.
• Maintain the integrity of pharmacovigilance databases, ensuring data quality and compliance with data‑management standards.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior staff on pharmacovigilance processes and regulatory expectations.
• Support audit and inspection readiness, responding to queries from health authorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or healthcare discipline.
• Extensive experience in pharmacovigilance or drug safety, with a solid understanding of global regulations.
• Proven ability to manage end‑to‑end PV processes independently and guide team members.
• Strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills for interpreting complex safety data.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
