Senior Logistics Analyst

About the role

Hitachi Vantara is seeking a Senior Logistics Analyst to drive optimisation of its global supply chain. Based in Buenos Aires, the role will analyse logistics data, identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions that enhance efficiency, reduce costs and boost delivery performance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct in‑depth analysis of transportation costs, inventory levels, warehousing efficiency and delivery timelines.
• Develop and implement strategies to shorten lead times and improve overall operational efficiency.
• Use advanced analytical tools to forecast demand, spot trends and generate actionable insights.
• Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, sales and IT teams to ensure seamless logistics integration.
• Monitor logistics KPIs, produce regular reports and recommend actions to management.
• Identify cost‑saving and process‑improvement opportunities across the logistics network.
• Evaluate, select and manage third‑party logistics providers, negotiate contracts and oversee vendor relationships.
• Ensure compliance with international and domestic shipping regulations and customs requirements.
• Lead or support logistics projects from concept through implementation and post‑implementation review.
• Develop and deliver training on logistics best practices and new system functionalities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in logistics analysis or supply chain management, preferably in a large multinational.
• Strong understanding of global logistics, transportation modes, warehousing operations and customs procedures.
• Proven ability to analyse complex data, identify problems and devise effective solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
• Project‑management experience and capability to lead initiatives.
