Senior Lead Security Infrastructure Engineer – HSM Management

About the role

Join JPMorgan Chase’s world‑class cybersecurity team as a Senior Lead Security Infrastructure Engineer. You will design, implement, and maintain highly available Hardware Security Module (HSM) solutions that protect critical payment and cryptographic operations for millions of users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design and documentation of complex HSM and cryptographic infrastructure, ensuring resiliency and security compliance.
• Design, deploy, configure and manage HSM solutions on Thales and FutureX platforms, including full lifecycle management.
• Develop detailed architectural diagrams, system documentation and operational runbooks.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define standards, best practices and security controls aligned with firm‑wide policies.
• Oversee migration, upgrade and consolidation of HSM infrastructure with minimal disruption.
• Provide expert guidance on cryptographic key management, confidential computing and PCI‑DSS/FIPS compliance.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and HSM issues, perform root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Participate in risk assessments, audits and incident response related to HSM environments.

Required profile

• Formal training or certification in security engineering concepts.
• 7+ years of hands‑on HSM engineering experience, including architecture of highly available infrastructure.
• Proven use of enterprise‑authorized AI tools to support security engineering workflows.
• Strong Linux/Unix administration skills in enterprise environments.
