Senior Investment Finance Consultant – Reinsurance

About the role

The Investment Finance Analytics & Reporting Manager (Reinsurance Focus) leads investment reporting, analytics, and accounting support for U.S. GAAP and statutory requirements. This role works on complex ceded reinsurance transactions, collaborates across functions, and drives automation and AI‑enabled transformation of financial processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead investment reporting and analytics for U.S. GAAP, SEC, and NAIC filings.
• Create scalable models and processes for accounting and reporting of investment activity within ceded reinsurance transactions.
• Oversee reconciliations, controls, and documentation tied to reinsurance‑related investment data.
• Manage onboarding of new reinsurance transactions with cross‑functional teams.
• Develop automated and AI‑driven solutions to improve financial reporting, analytics, and operational efficiency.
• Coordinate with Investments, Controls, and Analysis & Reporting teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and consistency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• 5–8 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or investment finance, preferably in insurance or financial services.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication abilities.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, complex data analysis).
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and statutory accounting principles for investment reporting.
• Experience with data‑analytics and automation tools such as Alteryx, Power Automate, and Power BI.
• Familiarity with ERP/financial systems like PeopleSoft, Oracle, PAM, and BI Publish.
• Exposure to process‑optimization and digital automation initiatives, including RPA solutions.
