Senior IAM Consultant – Okta Application Migration

About the role

The Senior IAM Consultant will join EY’s Cybersecurity & Identity & Access Management practice to lead Okta application migration projects for a US‑based client. You will be responsible for end‑to‑end onboarding of enterprise applications into Okta, ensuring secure authentication, federation, and smooth cut‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Lead requirement gathering, design validation, implementation, testing and production support for Okta migrations.
• Conduct discovery workshops with business and technical stakeholders to map authentication methods, access needs and migration constraints.
• Configure SSO integrations using SAML 2.0, OIDC and OAuth 2.0, and implement MFA, sign‑on and access policies.
• Plan and execute migration testing, cut‑over readiness, defect resolution and post‑go‑live hypercare.
• Coordinate with application owners, infrastructure, security teams and delivery leadership.
• Troubleshoot complex authentication, federation, provisioning and policy issues.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, runbooks and knowledge‑transfer materials.
• Mentor junior consultants as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 2‑3 years of hands‑on IAM experience, specifically with Okta application onboarding and migration.
• Strong client‑facing communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Analytical mindset with ability to resolve technical issues quickly.

• Okta SSO integrations (SAML 2.0, OIDC, OAuth 2.0)
• Multi‑Factor Authentication (MFA) design and implementation
• Active Directory integration and delegated authentication
• Okta Org2Org, tenant migration, routing rules
• Okta APIs, Okta Workflows, automation scripting
• Terraform, GitHub, Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools
• Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID, PingFederate, CyberArk, SailPoint
