Senior Go Developer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with deep expertise in Go and Google Cloud Platform to design, build, and scale high‑performance microservices that power live‑event management, media processing, and hybrid edge‑caching solutions. You will work with a distributed team operating in the Central Time zone and be responsible for end‑to‑end delivery of mission‑critical media workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain production‑grade Go microservices using gRPC, Protocol Buffers, grpc‑gateway, and REST APIs.
• Implement backend services for live‑event lifecycle, media ingestion, inspection, asset export, and distribution.
• Integrate hybrid caching architectures that combine on‑premise systems with Google Cloud Storage.
• Own features from API design and protobuf schemas to deployment, monitoring, and operational support.
• Build event‑driven solutions with Pub/Sub, Cloud Tasks, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Workflows.
• Collaborate with DevOps on Kubernetes deployments, Helm charts, Terraform, Istio, and GKE rollouts.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and on‑call rotations.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional backend development experience.
• 3+ years of hands‑on production Go development.
• Strong knowledge of Go concurrency, context handling, error management, and graceful shutdown.
• Experience designing APIs with gRPC, Protocol Buffers, and REST.
• Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform services and Kubernetes environments.
