Senior Director, Corporate Communications (Southern Cone)

About the role

The Senior Director of Corporate Communications for the Southern Cone (SOCO) will shape and execute Visa’s external and internal communication strategy across Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay and Bolivia. Reporting to the Regional VP of Communications for Latin America & the Caribbean and the SOCO Group Country Manager, this leader will drive storytelling, reputation management and crisis communications while fostering Visa’s corporate culture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic external and internal communications for the Southern Cone geography.
• Plan, develop and manage corporate communication content, reputation initiatives and crisis/issue response.
• Design and implement employee communication programs that reinforce Visa Leadership Principles and corporate culture.
• Advise country managers and senior leadership on messaging for business strategy and cultural values.
• Oversee all employee communication channels and coordinate with regional and global platforms.
• Manage an in‑house communications team and multiple third‑party vendors.

Required profile

• Extensive senior‑level experience in corporate communications, preferably within a multinational organization.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives and manage crisis communications.
• Strong storytelling talent with a track record of creating compelling content for diverse audiences.
• Excellent judgment and the capacity to influence senior stakeholders.
