Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

Svitla Systems Inc. is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a global technology client that provides self‑service payment solutions for the retail petroleum sector. The role is full‑time (40 h/week) and focuses on designing, deploying, and operating cloud‑native infrastructure on AWS.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and manage containerised applications on AWS EKS across multiple regions.
• Maintain Infrastructure‑as‑Code using Terraform and Terragrunt in multi‑account AWS environments.
• Implement Kubernetes networking and security policies with Cilium and Kyverno.
• Build CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, supporting tag‑based deployments.
• Configure HashiCorp Vault for secrets management and dynamic database credentials.
• Set up monitoring, alerting and observability using Prometheus, Grafana (AWS Managed) and PagerDuty.
• Troubleshoot complex issues in distributed micro‑services systems.
• Manage AWS services such as VPC, MSK (Kafka), NATS, and IoT Core.
• Support secure access using HashiCorp Boundary and Keycloak SSO (SAML).
• Collaborate with development teams to improve reliability and scalability.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering or Site Reliability Engineering.
• Strong expertise with AWS services, especially EKS, EC2, VPC, IAM and multi‑account setups.
• Proven experience deploying and operating Kubernetes in production.
• Deep knowledge of Terraform (Terragrunt a plus) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid Linux administration and scripting skills (Bash, Python).
