Senior CXE Engineer

About the role

As a Senior CXE Engineer at Caylent, you will lead the technical delivery of enterprise contact‑center transformations. The role is fully remote and focuses on building AI‑driven customer experiences using Amazon Connect, generative AI models, and serverless cloud services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain contact flows, AI agents, and Lambda functions within Amazon Connect.
• Create and manage infrastructure as code using AWS CDK for serverless deployments.
• Build React‑based tools for agents and administrators, ensuring high‑quality UI/UX.
• Integrate generative AI models (Amazon Bedrock, Claude) to enable self‑service and multi‑agent orchestration.
• Engineer prompt and tool‑calling logic, handling authentication, external APIs, and hallucination guardrails.
• Optimize model selection, caching, and token usage to meet cost and latency targets.
• Monitor performance with CloudWatch and custom observability, diagnosing latency, cost, and quality issues.
• Collaborate with customer engineering teams to validate solutions and support production cut‑over.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience building large‑scale, serverless applications on AWS.
• Strong background in contact‑center platforms, preferably Amazon Connect.
• Hands‑on experience with generative AI services such as Amazon Bedrock or Anthropic Claude.
• Proven ability to write production‑grade code and infrastructure as code.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
