Senior Consultant, Tax Content Architect (LATAM)

About the role

Cargill is looking for a Senior Consultant, Tax Content Architect to support technology implementations, governance and enhancements of tax elements in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and to improve tax processes in the LATAM region. The role works with limited supervision, developing tax solutions and advising on tax requirements in ERP systems, in close liaison with the wider tax team and the technology deployment, sustain and optimize teams.

Key responsibilities

• Tax solutions: support tax technology implementations (ERP and applications), gather local tax requirements with country or regional tax experts, assist in the initial design, perform analysis and testing, and help create training after go-live.
• Tax ERP analysis: build and maintain tax requirements in ERP systems and tax-dedicated applications, following a standard tax methodology.
• Tax architecture: ensure tax requirements are designed, documented and implemented consistently across tax areas, including monitoring tax logic in ERP.
• Tax liaison: collaborate with other tax content architects and tax managers to reach a joined solution.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Experience in, or a good understanding of, an international tax/finance environment.
• Must be based in Rosario (Argentina), Coronel (Chile), San José (Costa Rica) or Mexico City (Mexico).

Required skills

• Good analytical skills to embed tax requirements in ERP systems or applications.
• Understanding of tax reporting requirements and basic knowledge of statutory requirements and configuration in current technologies.
• Basic understanding of tax functionality in enterprise resource planning systems.
