Senior Communications Engineer

About the role

Satellogic is seeking a Senior Communications Engineer to own the end‑to‑end architecture of all RF and communication systems on its Earth‑observation satellites and ground stations. The role combines deep technical work with cross‑functional collaboration to deliver reliable, high‑performance links for telemetry, command, and payload data downlink.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, validation and maintenance of satellite and ground‑segment communication and RF systems.
• Take full ownership of the end‑to‑end solution architecture for in‑flight and on‑ground communications.
• Design, maintain, enhance, and implement communication solutions for hardware‑constrained satellite and ground‑station environments.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align technical execution with operational processes and business strategy.
• Travel as needed to the Uruguay facility, client sites, and supplier locations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in satellite communications and RF system engineering.
• Strong ability to own complex system‑level projects from concept through validation.
• Comfort working in fast‑paced, hardware‑constrained environments.
• Excellent cross‑functional collaboration skills.
