Senior Communications Analyst Consultant

About the role

The United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN‑Habitat) is seeking a Senior Communications Analyst Consultant for a three‑month consultancy in Argentina. Reporting to the Project Coordinator and the Coordinator of the Andean Countries Hub, the consultant will lead the design and implementation of a strategic communication and stakeholder‑engagement strategy for the FIDUS Project, which supports sustainable urban development and innovative financing in the energy sector.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute an integrated communication, visibility, advocacy, and stakeholder‑mobilisation strategy aligned with the New Urban Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals.
• Produce monthly progress and activity reports (PDF and Word, up to 5 pages) for the Project Coordinator and Hub Coordinator.
• Ensure project visibility at local, national, and regional levels through targeted messaging and knowledge dissemination.
• Support the consolidation of institutional partnerships and increase the visibility of project outcomes.
• Coordinate with Fundación YPF and other partners to align communication activities with project objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in strategic communications for international development or urban‑development initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to design high‑level communication strategies and stakeholder‑engagement plans.
• Familiarity with the New Urban Agenda, Sustainable Development Goals, and UN‑Habitat processes.
• Experience preparing concise, high‑quality reports for senior stakeholders.
