Senior Back-End Software Engineer (Remote)

About the role

As an engineer at Bask you will work directly with the CEO and CTO to build and design the software infrastructure that will serve as the backbone of telehealth. The position is fully remote and focuses on end‑to‑end ownership of backend features in a serverless, AI‑first environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship high‑quality product experiences, owning features from concept through production.
• Write elegant, well‑tested TypeScript code and maintain a comprehensive test suite.
• Work across the full stack, following a feature from the UI through the API to the database without handoffs.
• Leverage AI tools such as Claude and Cursor to draft intent, scaffold components, and refactor code.
• Prototype quickly with real patients and care teams, iterating based on feedback in sensitive clinical contexts.
• Build scalable, reusable patterns and ensure performance, accessibility, and reliability of the platform.

Required profile

• Full‑stack generalist with a proven track record of taking products from 0‑to‑1.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable rolling up sleeves in a fast‑paced, unstructured startup.
• Strong communicator who can clearly articulate technical problems, constraints, and timelines.
• Independent owner of large code areas or entire projects, especially on the backend.
