Senior Android Software Engineer (Medical Apps)

About the role

We are looking for a self‑motivated Senior Android Engineer to design, build, and deliver medical‑grade Android applications and SDKs. The role focuses on internationalization, localization, and regulatory compliance for multiple markets.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑quality Android apps using Java, Kotlin, and Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile (KMM).
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define, design, and ship new capabilities on schedule.
• Translate customer and market needs into secure, efficient mobile solutions.
• Scope work, break it into modules, estimate effort, and coordinate with program management.
• Present concepts and solutions to customers, partners, and leadership.
• Write clean, maintainable code, participate in code reviews, and troubleshoot performance issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of native Android development experience.
• Proven ability to work in Agile environments and deliver products for FCC/FDA‑regulated industries (preferred).
• Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to learn new technologies quickly.

Required skills

• Kotlin and Java programming.
• Android SDK, UI design principles, and open‑source Android libraries.
• Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile (KMM).
• RxJava, Realm, Room, Coroutines.
• Internationalization (i18n) and localization (l10n), RTL layouts, locale‑specific formatting.
• Experience with translation management systems such as RWS, Crowdin, or Lokalise.
• Web services, Cloud APIs, and wireless communication technologies.
