Senior Accounting Manager – Remote

About the role

Veta Virtual is seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Manager to support a key financial services client. This fully remote position combines deep U.S. accounting expertise with the agility needed in fast‑moving startup environments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting cycle for U.S.‑based clients, including reconciliations, month‑end close, and financial reporting.
• Serve as the primary accounting point of contact for client stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and timely delivery.
• Apply startup accounting principles to balance best practices with limited resources.
• Integrate and optimize external applications with QuickBooks Online to streamline operations.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable, expense management, and vendor/client interactions.
• Utilize tools such as QuickBooks Online, Slack, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Zoom, and Google Drive on a daily basis.
• Stay informed on emerging technologies and AI use cases that can improve accounting efficiency.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience with U.S. companies; CPA certification preferred.
• Proven ability to manage external stakeholders, preferably from public accounting or client‑facing roles.
• Strong knowledge of startup accounting practices and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Proactive, solution‑oriented self‑starter with strong time‑management and ownership.
