Senior Accountant – Remote (US Focus)

About the role

Veta Virtual is seeking a Senior Accountant to support a key financial services client. The role is fully remote and focuses on managing U.S. accounting operations for fast‑moving startups, ensuring compliance and delivering actionable financial insights.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting cycle for U.S.‑based clients, including reconciliations, month‑end close, and financial reporting.
• Apply startup accounting principles while balancing best practices with limited resources.
• Integrate and optimize external applications with QuickBooks Online to streamline processes.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable, expense management, and vendor/client interactions.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of accounting experience with U.S. companies; CPA preferred.
• Proven ability to work with external stakeholders in a public‑accounting or client‑facing environment.
• Strong communication skills in English and a proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset.

Required skills

• QuickBooks Online (QBO) and integration with external apps.
• Slack, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Drive, Zoom/Google Meet.
• Familiarity with Rippling, Brex, Bill.com, ClickUp, Gusto, Ramp.
