Senior Accountant (Remote)

About the role

Qventus is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join its growing accounting team. The role is fully remote and focuses on owning complex accounting functions, driving the month‑end close, and partnering across the organization in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own and maintain the general ledger, ensuring an accurate chart of accounts.
• Lead posting and reconciliation of all balance‑sheet accounts each month, including banking, fixed assets, prepaids, accrued compensation, accrued payables, deferred revenue, AR, AP, allocations, and equity.
• Prepare amortization and allocation schedules for internally developed software costs (ASC 350‑40).
• Process payroll, payroll clearing entries, and related reconciliations.
• Analyze customer collectability, manage aging receivables, and escalate collection risks.
• Prepare revenue journal entries (ASC 606) and maintain deferred revenue schedules.
• Record stock‑based compensation entries and disclosures (ASC 718).
• Execute month‑end accruals, unbilled liabilities, and deferred items within a 4‑day close schedule.
• Support preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages, including flux analysis and debt compliance.
• Oversee full‑cycle accounts payable, vendor onboarding, and Bill.com processing.

Required profile

• Several years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a high‑growth technology or healthcare environment.
• Deep technical accounting knowledge of US GAAP standards (ASC 350‑40, ASC 606, ASC 718).
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
