Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our global finance team. The role focuses on US GAAP accounting and month‑end closing for assigned entities, ensuring accurate journal entries in SAP and supporting audit activities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage US GAAP accounting for designated entities, including accruals, pre‑payments and routine closing tasks.
• Execute monthly closing procedures in SAP according to company policies and timelines.
• Prepare and review balance‑sheet reconciliations and explain profit & loss variances.
• Validate source documents, tax codes and supporting packages before posting to SAP.
• Identify and resolve posting discrepancies between operational systems and SAP.
• Investigate unusual transactions and recommend accounting actions for senior review.
• Collaborate with local accountants, business partners and finance teams to gather information and meet closing deadlines.
• Provide data to third‑party accounting firms and assist internal and external auditors.
• Contribute to process improvements, system testing and workflow enhancements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and core accounting standards.
• High level of accuracy, responsibility and ability to work independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (B1+).
