Semi-Senior iOS Developer

About the role

Possumus is seeking a Semi‑Senior iOS Developer to join a mobile development project for a leading retail company in Chile. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining native iOS applications, guiding them from concept through App Store release.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new features using Swift and the iOS SDK.
• Build reusable components across multiple modules.
• Refactor existing code to improve architecture, readability and performance.
• Diagnose and resolve bugs in development and production environments.
• Integrate iOS apps with backend services via REST APIs.
• Collaborate with UX/UI, QA, backend and DevOps teams.
• Contribute to technical decisions and mentor junior developers.
• Participate in testing, maintenance and continuous improvement processes.

Required skills

• 3.5+ years of iOS development experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Swift and the iOS SDK.
• Proficiency with Xcode, UIKit, and iOS UI design best practices.
• Experience integrating REST APIs, using Alamofire or URLSession.
• Familiarity with Combine, RxSwift or Async/Await.
• Dependency management with CocoaPods (and optionally Swift Package Manager).
• Knowledge of CoreData, Realm or SQLite.
• Use of Instruments, TestFlight, XCTest, Nimble, Quick, and other testing frameworks.
• Version control with Git and collaborative workflows.
• Basic English proficiency.
• Nice‑to‑have: Objective‑C, SwiftUI, Swift Concurrency, CI/CD tools (Fastlane, GitHub Actions, Bitrise), TDD practices.
