Security Specialist, Kubernetes

About the role

Security Specialists ensure platforms and infrastructure are secure by design, bridging infrastructure and development teams. In this position you will focus on securing, hardening, and continuously improving Kubernetes environments that underpin our platform.

Key responsibilities

• Strengthen Kubernetes‑based environments by implementing secure‑by‑default patterns aligned with CIS, STIG and NIST standards.
• Drive vulnerability management: identify risks, prioritize remediation and guide teams across Kubernetes and Linux systems.
• Design and integrate scalable infrastructure solutions using Terraform, YAML and other IaC tools, ensuring consistency and auditability.
• Lead security reviews, conduct remediation efforts and act as a reference for best practices in infrastructure, networking and development.
• Contribute to the team roadmap by identifying gaps and defining security goals.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in security‑related roles, focusing on infrastructure or platform security.
• Hands‑on experience securing Kubernetes and Linux environments, including hardening and applying best practices.
• Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes); CKS certification is a plus.
• Familiarity with vulnerability management tools such as Nessus or AWS Inspector.
• Practical experience with AWS, especially EKS, in production.
