Ruby on Rails Software Engineer

About the role

MojoTech is looking for a Ruby on Rails Software Engineer to join its growing engineering team in Argentina. As a consultant you will work on diverse client engagements, collaborating with product managers, designers, engineers and business stakeholders to deliver modern web applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, test and maintain Ruby on Rails web applications.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including product managers, designers and fellow engineers.
• Participate in technical discovery, architecture discussions and solution design.
• Develop scalable APIs and backend services.
• Write clean, maintainable and well‑tested code.
• Contribute to code reviews and engineering best practices.
• Identify and resolve technical risks and challenges.
• Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proven experience building and maintaining production applications with Ruby on Rails.
• Strong understanding of object‑oriented programming principles and software design patterns.
• Experience with relational databases and API development.
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Professional working proficiency in English (written and verbal).
• Ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed environment.
