Risk Operations Team Leader

About the role

Rapyd is looking for a Risk Operations Team Leader to head its Transaction Monitoring and Risk Analysis function in Buenos Aires. You will manage a small team of analysts, ensure timely and accurate detection of suspicious activity, and act as the primary escalation point for complex risk scenarios in a fast‑moving fintech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Direct, mentor, and drive a team of 2–5 Risk Analysts to meet performance KPIs, SLA compliance, and detection accuracy.
• Oversee end‑to‑end triage and management of alert queues, identifying and mitigating high‑exposure risks.
• Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, and Sales teams to refine risk models and monitoring procedures.
• Perform continuous quality assurance on team output and implement workflow enhancements.
• Monitor emerging regional and global risk trends and adapt operational frameworks accordingly.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in fraud, risk, or compliance transaction monitoring, preferably in payments or fintech.
• At least 2 years of experience leading or mentoring junior analysts.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Fluent verbal and written English; knowledge of Argentine AML/CFT regulations is a plus.
