Remote Economics Instructor for AI Training

About the role

We are seeking experienced post‑secondary economics instructors to help shape the way artificial intelligence understands and explains economic concepts. In this fully remote, task‑based contract you will use your classroom expertise to create and evaluate content that trains large language models.

Key responsibilities

• Design and review economics questions and scenarios used for AI training and evaluation.
• Assess the accuracy, clarity and depth of AI‑generated economic explanations.
• Provide structured, actionable feedback to improve economic reasoning in model outputs.
• Apply real‑world teaching experience to validate concepts, identify gaps and catch edge cases.
• Work independently and asynchronously with no scheduled meetings.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of full‑time teaching economics at the post‑secondary level.
• Strong command of microeconomics, macroeconomics and applied economics.
• Excellent written communication and ability to evaluate economic reasoning.
• Self‑motivated and reliable when working on task‑based projects.
• Master’s or PhD in Economics (preferred).
• Experience grading or evaluating work at scale (nice to have).
• Familiarity with AI, large language models or content‑evaluation workflows (nice to have).
