Registered Nurse – Surgery (N2 East) – 0.60 FTE

About the role

The Registered Nurse – Surgery (N2 East) provides professional nursing care to patients with complex and unpredictable health needs in a surgical setting. Working under the general supervision of the Manager, Health Services, you will deliver independent nursing services, administer prescribed treatments, and coordinate patient care and discharge.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for surgical patients.
• Administer medications and prescribed medical treatments safely.
• Lead and collaborate with the multidisciplinary health‑care team.
• Facilitate patient education, care coordination and discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing program.
• Minimum one year of current medical/surgical nursing experience.
• Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).
• Active participation in professional nursing associations is preferred.

Required skills

• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
