Purchaser – Indirect Materials & Services

About the role

The Purchaser will ensure that indirect materials and services are supplied to support plant and regional operations, complying with Greif's purchasing policies. This role involves supplier management, price negotiations, and coordination with internal teams to maintain smooth supply chain processes.

Key responsibilities

• Administer purchase of indirect materials and services for plants, countries, or regions.
• Manage BP request creation and modification, as well as price book updates.
• Evaluate supplier performance and resolve non‑conformance issues.
• Handle suppliers, requisitions, orders, receipts, and approval flows in the supplier enablement system.
• Resolve invoice matching gaps and negotiate pricing and payment terms.
• Coordinate local supply items such as uniforms, safety supplies, and small machine parts.
• Interact with customers, sales teams, suppliers, and other personnel as required.
• Maintain reports, files, and administrative paperwork.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of relevant purchasing or buyer experience.
• Previous experience in a purchasing, buyer, or administrative role.
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Collaborative team player with understanding of plant manufacturing operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software such as Coupa.
