Project Manager – Intelligent Transportation Systems

About the role

Kapsch is seeking a proactive Project Manager to lead the planning, execution and delivery of complex Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) projects. You will act as the main point of contact for customers and internal teams, ensuring projects meet business objectives, contractual commitments and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project planning, monitoring, execution and closure while aligning with customer expectations.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams, fostering collaboration and accountability.
• Manage stakeholder communication, expectations and satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify, assess and mitigate project risks and opportunities.
• Oversee contract compliance, change requests and claim management.
• Own financial performance: budgeting, forecasting, cost control and reporting.
• Ensure deliverables meet agreed quality standards and customer requirements.
• Provide regular status reports covering progress, risks, issues and financials.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of project management practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Project Management or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing medium to large‑scale projects, preferably in an international environment.
