Product Process Specialist – Innovation & Scale‑Up

About the role

As a Product Process Specialist reporting to the Dry Care & Treats Program Leader within the Royal Canin Business Unit, you will lead high‑impact projects that drive product and technology development. You will implement new processes, packaging, and raw materials while preserving the quality and nutritional performance of the existing portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Lead medium to large‑scale innovation, renovation and efficiency projects from brief to factory hand‑over.
• Design and execute factory‑floor trial validation plans, analyse data, define process specifications and manage scale‑up risks.
• Act as the technical SME, providing advanced troubleshooting and supporting technology transfer from global teams.
• Partner with Quality & Food Safety to resolve incidents, manage corrective actions and ensure compliance with standards such as FSSC.
• Prepare regulatory and export dossiers, and oversee training and documentation hand‑overs for new products.
• Contribute to site‑level continuous improvement projects and capital investments to maintain stable process capabilities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 4 years of research & development experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Advanced English proficiency (tested during the recruitment process).
• Proven experience delivering innovation projects through implementation.
• Understanding of raw‑material impact on nutrition, product performance and process capability.
