Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Procurement Specialist will manage sourcing, negotiation and supplier relationships for non‑production materials and services that support BYD Argentina’s operations. This includes office supplies, IT hardware/software, maintenance, marketing events, utilities, travel and other essential services.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in cross‑departmental procurement projects and develop cost‑reduction strategies.
• Oversee the full procurement cycle for logistics, marketing, administrative supplies and consulting services, from demand gathering to contract management and SAP PO issuance.
• Conduct supplier and market research, qualify suppliers, and maintain a high‑quality supplier pool using the SRM system.
• Lead negotiations, coordinate with legal for contract signing, and ensure compliance with fairness and transparency principles.
• Monitor market trends, benchmark prices, evaluate supplier performance and address procurement anomalies to guarantee continuity and quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of procurement experience with knowledge of best practices, contract and supplier management.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and ability to handle multiple requests simultaneously.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Experience using SAP for purchase order processing.
• Familiarity with Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) tools.
