Principal AI Engineer – Agentic Systems

About the role

As a Principal AI Engineer you will design and build production‑grade, agentic AI systems that power next‑generation intelligent automation for a global client base. Reporting to the Global Head of AI Strategy, Policy, and Governance, you will work at the frontier of multi‑agent orchestration, connecting large language models to Qlik’s data ecosystem and beyond.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement multi‑agent pipelines using LangGraph, LangChain and AgentCore, including routing, evaluation loops and retry mechanisms.
• Develop Python integrations with Qlik Cloud Analytics, Snowflake, Apache Iceberg, OpenSearch and other data sources via MCP and direct APIs.
• Deploy and manage LLM‑powered agents on AWS Bedrock, ensuring reliability, cost efficiency and security compliance.
• Build production‑ready FastAPI services to expose agentic capabilities to downstream consumers.
• Collaborate with Customer Success, Sales and Analytics teams to translate business requirements into agentic architectures.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience shipping agentic AI systems with a strong Python background.
• Proven ability to ship, instrument and iterate rapidly in a fast‑moving environment.
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex system behavior to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Security and governance mindset with awareness of responsible AI practices.
